Q. How and when do I get started?

Q. How many sessions a year do you offer?
A. In order to align with the demanding schedules of today’s professionals, the MSMOB program offers 6 sessions per year. Request Information or contact an Admissions Advisor at (866) 295-3104 for the next session date.

Q. What kind of educational background is required for admission?
A. You must have an undergraduate degree from a regionally accredited college or university.

Q. Is there a thesis required?
A. No. A thesis is not required.

Q. Can the GMAT requirement be waived?
A. Yes. Applicants to the Online MSMOB program can request a GMAT waiver under the following conditions:

  • Applicants already possess an advanced degree.
  • Applicants have a cumulative undergraduate GPA of at least 3.2.
  • Applicants who have a cumulative undergraduate GPA from 2.5 to 3.1 can request a GMAT waiver by completing our MBA 541, MBA 500 and MGMT 540 courses with a grade of "B" or higher.

All GMAT waiver requests are reviewed on a case-by-case basis.

Q. How many total credits are required?
A. The Online MSMOB program consists of 64 credit hours for students including 34 credit hours comprised of the management core, and 30 credit hours comprised of concentration and elective credit hours. Q. How many courses do I take per academic term?
A. Most adult students, who work full-time, take 4 credits worth of courses per eight-week session. The Online MSMOB program offers six academic sessions per year, which means that most students take 24 credits worth of courses per year.

Q. Which courses are eligible for course waiver based on equivalent coursework?
A. Online MSMOB students are able to apply for waivers in the following courses: MBA 541, MBA 500, MGMT 540. These courses require one equivalent graduate or two comparable upper division (i.e. sophomore, junior and senior level) undergraduate courses in the same topic area, completed with a “B” or higher.

The Maximum Number of Allowable Transfer/Course Substitution Hours: 12 Quarter Credit Hours.

Q. Is advising available for all students?
A. Yes. Each student receives a customized Curriculum Planner for the online MSMOB program and can set up a telephone appointment to speak with an advisor whenever assistance is needed.
