The program prepares highly competent professionals for the rapidly changing world of health and health care. Benedictine’s interactive, fully online course format allows you the flexibility and convenience to complete your coursework around busy work and personal schedules. The program offers six academic sessions per year. Students complete 12 class core, and then choose from 1 of 3 certificate programs to complete the required number of hours in the program. Students graduate the online MPH program with a Master’s degree in Public Health, along with a certificate in one of the following disciplines:
For students who do not wish to earn a Certificate in conjunction with their Master’s degree, they may choose 12 credit hours of electives, taking classes from each of the certificate programs listed above.

A host of professionals, including teachers, journalists, researchers, administrators, environmentalists, demographers, social workers, laboratory scientists and attorneys work to protect the health of the general public.
This exciting field of study challenges trained professionals to confront complex health issues, such as improving access to health care, controlling infectious disease, and reducing environmental hazards, violence, substance abuse and injuries.
MPH faculty includes an appropriate blend of seasoned full-time professors and adjunct professors who are experienced public health practitioners.

The Online MPH is a generalist degree that may be applied to a wide range of population-based health concerns. Comprising its base are the core disciplines of management, statistics and epidemiology. In addition to professional preparation, the program also provides an excellent educational background for those who wish to pursue further study at the doctoral level.

For students who do not wish to complete a certificate, they may choose 12 credit hours of electives to complete the required hours for graduation.
